That is the greatest disappointment- finding out first hand that our parents are fallible and not immune to what is otherwise a life certainty. I lost my dad when i was 6 - nothing felt more surreal.
Parents. They never listen. They insist on doing things as if they were free to do things as they choose. And in all certainty will leave you with an overwhelming sense of loss if the drugs and bad driving don't kill us first.
